Bathing him will remove more hair than brushing. I had a Pomeranian several years ago and I used to get her a "Puppy Cut" at the begining of every summer to she would be cooler and the groomer would get a good portion of her winter under coat out. You can bath him as often as you want as long as you don't use a grocery store shampoo.

Sorry it took me so long to get back and post thanks for the suggestions. i know that dogs should shed a couple of different times a year but it shouldn't be all the time should it. I don't really want to use any shampoos that may have a lot of chemicals in them. do you know of any that is all natural.

Well I haven't tried this one (the Mystic Sea) but I think I will. I have been using my own shampoo on them lately, I buy one that is "sulfate free", but looking on line for one is something I haven't done, until now. I found this shampoo specific for dogs and I'm going to order some. The website is here http://www.mystic-sea.net/index.php?tar ... _id=Active
I went on line and typed in "all natural dog shampoo" and this one was near the top. I have tried a shampoo made by "Blue Buffalo", a dog food brand that I found at Petsmart, but I found it too expensive. It was $17 for an 8oz bottle and I didn't think it was worth it, although I can't say anything bad about it or special about it. I have a 5 lb.Toy Fox Terrier that sheds her tiny white hairs allot and a 30 lb.Wirehair Fox Terrier that doesn't shed any more than I do so I never notice any hair with her until I brush her.

I also just remembered, sometimes a dogs skin will react to it's food. Dogs can be allergic to Corn, Wheat, and especially "Processed Chicken", which means just eating a dog food made with chicken can cause the skin allergy. I feed my gang a dog food made with Salmon(Halo brand), which also means they are getting salmon oil in their food which helps the skin. There is a web site that I use to order stuff that I would find at my local health food store but they are always cheaper called Vitacost. com listed below. I just tried them to see if they carry the Mystic Sea and they do!!!!! It's at a great price too. I just got my order from them today so I'm going to have to find more vitamins to order. I have been ordering my dog food from them because I have been getting my Halo at Petco and they have gone up on their prices. Vitacost also carried vitamins, health foods, and on. They only charge 4.99 for shipping no matter what you order and I don't pay tax here in Ca. I love this place.
